MASTER OF CEREMONIES (MC) A Master of Ceremonies<\/b> (also used in its abbreviated forms MC<\/b> or emcee<\/b>) or comp\u00e8re<\/b> is the official host of a staged event or similar performance.<\/p>\n An MC usually presents performers, speaks to the audience, entertains people, and generally keeps the event moving.<\/p>\n The term originates from the Catholic Church.
